As the Transition & Sustainment Coordination Manager be responsible for the planning, coordination and management of the transition of one or more projects into sustainment environments, and management of their sustainment life cycle.

Planning and delivery activity will require you to remain flexible and adaptive while ensuring suitable oversight is provided.

The position will involve working with business stakeholders, program members, and development teams.

Must have's, skills and past experience:-

  • Support provision of ICT systems and hardware
  • Transition and sustainment management of ICT systems would be beneficial
  • Talk and write so others understand you
  • Do lots with little time and be able to document it
  • Get stuff done, or make others do it
  • Play nicely with other team members
  • Hold a PV clearance (if you don't know what it is, you don't have it).

Responsibilities:-

  • Identify and schedule transition and sustainment activities for projects and activities delivered under the Program.
  • Work with the Program and Project managers, and key business partners to develop transition and sustainment plans for Program deliverables.
  • Negotiate, engage, and keep track of internal resources required to transition and sustain systems delivered by the Program.
  • Plan the changes required in a manner that ensures the integrity of all identified customer assets, service assets, and configurations can be maintained as they evolve through service transition.
  • Ensure that service transition issues, risks and deviations are reported to the appropriate stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Coordinate activities across projects suppliers and service teams where required.
  • Manage the Request for Change activities associated with the delivered systems, following established Change Management processes.
  • Manage the transition to operations planning and implementation in accordance with industry best practice and procedures.
  • Identify and purchase the required licences for systems delivered under the Program in accordance with Software Asset Management policies and procedures.
  • Work with other key business partners and stakeholders to identify and implement corporate transitions and sustainment process.
  • Prepare status reports for the program management team, business stakeholders and senior officers.
  • Advise the program management team on issues requiring attention, and implement management decisions.

Australian citizenship and a Top Secret Positive Vetting (TS-PV) security clearance are needed to perform this role for the next 8 months and possibly beyond.
