My client is a leading International SAAS company based in South Dublin, and they are rapidly growing!
They have a reputation for hiring the best technical minds in the industry and are now looking to add a senior Linux system administrator to their team. As their Senior Linux system administrator you will be friendly, energetic and results driven.
You will join the Operations team and you will be responsible for maintaining the production systems and applications for a fast-growing SaaS company. This Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for exploring new technologies to improve efficiency and maximize performance.
You will build intelligent tools and scripts, capacity plan evaluate commercial and open-source tools to improve efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Linux systems administration
- LAMP server management in a Highly-Available, 24x7 production environment (ideally 8+ years)
- Hosting and scaling Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, etc)
- Excellent scripting skills using Unix scripting toolkits
- Knowledge of systems and infrastructure security
- Operational experience supporting large, high-volume sites.
- Experience working with monitoring and analytics tools (e.g. Nagios, Cacti, Splunk- Any will do)
- Some knowledge of deployment and distribution automation tools (YUM, Puppet, RPM, etc)
Beneficial experience:
- MySQL 5.x scripting and maintenance
- A little bit of MySQL database administration experience
- Virtual systems build and management utilizing VMware, KVM, Xen, etc. (any will do)
