Specialist SQL DBA is required by a strong Database IT team based within a boutique insurance firm based within the city ofLondon. This is a superb opportunity for a specialist SQL DBA with Performance tuning and development experience to join a market leading business.

You will be responsible for SQL Performance and Tuning of the Database with a primary focus on investigating, resolving, and documenting database performance improvements across the database, operating system, storage, and network. You will also be required later on in the project to work on development of various other areas of the data warehouse, utilising the full BI stack within MS SQL.

This global Data warehouse team are responsible for supporting and maintaining the entire firms SQL Server database estate as well as support of mission critical databases across the globe. The reason for the expansion of the team is down to the department working on business critical projects.
This is a contract role with a market rate of up to £425pd.
This is an immediate hire role, ideally candidates need to be availble within 2 weeks.

Essential Skills:
  • Proven SQL DBA
  • Experience within the Lloyds of London insurance market
  • Strong experience in performance tuning data warehouses
  • Development experience within SSIS and SSRS
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on performance pre and post implementation in order to highlight the benefit of changes.
