OSS Support Engineer - UK(Telecoms, OSS, NetAct, GreenPlum, Velocent, Cerion, Monolith, Netviewer, UK, Contract)
An OSS Engineer is needed in Reading UK on a contract basis project. On behalf of our client, a prestigious and fast growing international Telecoms company, Manning Global Group is looking for an OSS Engineer for a contract position based in Reading.
Job description:
• Provide Back Office technical support for all aspects of the NSN NetAct in addition to Greenplum, Velocent, Cerion, Monolith, Netviewer and a number of other NEMS tools
• Provide scripting services to assist with Business Intelligence Interface to web interface level
• Experience with perl, ksh, sh and expect scripting environments
• Interaction (SQL) with Postgres, Oracle and MySQL DBs specifically
• Assist with high level analysis, diagnosis and problem solving on NSN NetAct and other OSS tools (e.g. Greenplum, Velocent, Cerion, Monolith, Netviewer)
Experience:
• Programming and scripting skills
• Extensive Integration and / or support experience of NSN NetAct elements
• Extensive Integration and / or support experience of OSS elements
• SW / HW upgrade and testing of OSS platforms
• Extensive experience of Linux and Unix Admin
• Building Business Intelligent web interfaces utilizing Perl runtime environment
• Postgres/Oracle/Relevant DB experience
• Experience in Back Office / 3rd Line Support and familiarisation with an on-call environment
• Relevent OSS qualifications
• Red Hat Linux certification desirable
• HNC, HND or equivalent (related subjects)
