The company are world leaders in the Aerospace Industry and have a requirement for a Quality Manager to join a specialist division in their group. This division has an established and expanding customer base and they have circa to 180 people based at this site.

Job Summary:
You will be responsible for the implementation and control of quality processes to support the further development of this division. You will be a member of the management team and interface with external customers, suppliers and internal technical, operational and business managers, and work closely with the UK Quality organisation, to promote quality best practice.

Job Responsibilities:
Support the ISO standards by mentoring auditors and carrying out audits
Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produce data and reports on performance, measured against agreed set indicators.
Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints. Liaise with customers' representatives to ensure the implementation of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.
Define quality procedures taking account of customer needs and best internal practice requirements and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
Write customer, technical and management systems reports
Promote best practice, quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation.
Ensure that products are fit for purpose, robust and meet customer expectations.
Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
Facilitate customer audits and carry out supplier audits, including the management of the ensuing NCs.
Assess product specifications, suppliers' specifications and compare with customer requirements. Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
