Element, a web and mobile design and development studio in Austin, TX, is looking for a local UI/UX Designer to help support it’s expanding team on a contract or full-time basis.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You will work side-by-side with our creative team as we define user experiences and produce the best visual designs for our client's applications and marketing products. The products we help build for our clients span a variety of industries and are both internal and consumer facing, resulting in a wide range of creative problem-solving challenges. We thrive on new experiences, execution through iteration, and in helping our clients lead in their markets by staying ahead of the curve in ours.
You will be hands-on in developing UX patterns through sketches, prototypes, wireframes, and interaction notes as well as crafting UI schemes which are harmonious, engaging, on-brand, and beautiful. Your creativity will be directly apparent in the work we produce as a company and contribute to the inspiration of the Element team as a whole.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of interactive design experience
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Strong design, typographical, and interactive skills with a heavy emphasis on application design
- Must have a high attention to detail
- Eye for well-crafted user experiences
- Front-end programming experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
PLUSES
- Responsive Web Design experience
- Illustration/Storyboarding abilities
- Experience in creative applications such as Flash & After Effects
- Working knowledge of back-end/CMS programming
- Experience leading a team of designers
