Description
My client is looking for a process engineer role for a long term project based in the south.Purpose of the role:
To carry out and manage technical orocess design and specification of bulk handling systems.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the efficient and productive management of the process design project
- Carry out process design for bulk handling systems. This is to ensure turnkey prokects dowm to individual items are designed to comply and operate to the clients specification, both achieving technically the best solution and the most effective capital and running costs
- Carry out detailed process calculations relating to bulk handling, for example product conveying in/or pressure pneumatic conveying systems.
- Assist with problem solving on site during and after the commissioning phase
- Assist in the development on new standard products, processes and systems
- Create and keep up to date a comprehensive material database that can be simply accessed and navigated by colleagues
What skills are essential?
- Ability to carry out analytical testing
- Computer literate particulary in the use of Word and Excel
- An understanding of bulk handling systems
- Ability to carry out process engineering calculation, designs and PID drawings
- Experienced in AutoCAD
- Experience or understading of the following, ATEX, PED, COSHH, CDM
- Experienced in managing a team of engineers and contractors
Qualifications:
- Degree or HND in a Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering oir in a bulk handling discipline
- Fluent in English both Written and Spoken
- Chartered engineer or working towards chartered status
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience in bulk handling or similar environment
- Experience in the engineering and specification on bulk handling systems
- Commissioning or operating experience of bulk handling plants
