Software Configuration Manager/Versioning/Shell Scripting/Linux
Key skills
- Versioning Systems (CVS, SVN) and build tools (make, cmake) experience
- Experience with Shell Scripting, Python, Perl, Hudson/Jenkins
- Good knowledge of Red Hat Linux
- Basics in C, C++, SQL
Interpersonal Skills
- University degree in engineering, sciences or information technology
- English speaker and writer
- German speaker and writer is an advantage
- Communication skills, understanding of complex interrelations in bigger IT projects and organizing abilities
- Initiative, toughness, responsibility and distinct abilities to work in a team
The following are typical tasks that you will be performing:
- Integrating software packages under Linux and Open VMS
- Quality assurance of delivered software under formal aspects
- Delivering software packages to the group-wide Configuration Management and Quality Assurance department in Frankfurt
- Installing software into different test environments used by the application development
- Enhancing existing and developing new configuration management tools
- Supporting project management in terms of planning and tracking of software deliveries
- Supporting development area with tools, upgrades and maintenance
- Configuring build framework and adapt build flow, keep the build infrastructure available
