Our goal is to create intuitive, scalable and secure enterprise software for the Insurance Industry.
We're a bi-coastal company (CA, NY) with a startup culture backed by Scottish American Capital, Peterson Partners and HV Capital. Our team is composed of a variety of individuals from both the Insurance and Tech sectors. We have spent years developing and scaling applications for some of the worlds largest businesses including the BBC, Nickelodeon, and Investec.
You will be essential in shaping the early features and functionality of our fast growing financial services tool. You will have direct access to the products primary users as well as a strong influence on the technology used to solve our problems.
You
- Are self directed, focused, and rather work smart than put in tons of hours (Git version control, TDD, and continuous integration should all be familiar terms).
- Know that programming is methodically using software to solve problems - languages, frameworks and apis are just tools to help get the job done.
- Love to learn, are constantly tinkering with the latest tech and have several side projects to share.
- Are able to translate business requirements into code. While our main application was created using PHP, you know or are eager to learn other languages and frameworks (Ruby, Objective-C, Javascript, Java and more)
- Understand the value of an MVP and fast feedback loops (you will have direct face to face access to the products users).
- Are comfortable taking ownership of a product while juggling multiple projects.
- Have experience building and managing multi-tenant applicatons
- Enjoy documenting and aiding others understand and navigate through issues
- Want to help define our company culture
