Description
BinaryM is a Code Poet listed WordPress centric development agency located in San Diego. We’re looking for a developer with extensive WordPress development experience. This position will works closely in teams and you'll need to be comfortable with that environment. Additionally, while our project managers handle most communications, the ability and willingness to engage clients directly and solve problems without instruction is needed at times. We need someone who can dig into code and communicate with clients with the same comfort level. This is initially a freelance position with 10-20 hours per week, but can grow into full time for the right person.
What We Need Help With
- Coding a WordPress theme from a PSD file
- Creating custom JavaScript functionality
- Migrating sites between servers
- Debugging, extending & creating WordPress plugins
- Reviewing sites and making recommendations for improvements

Desired Proficiencies
- Extensive WordPress knowledge relating to front-end development
- Extensive BuddyPress knowledge relating to large communities
- Extensive CSS/HTML/JavaScript/PHP/MySQL knowledge
- Able and willing to engage clients directly and solve problems without instruction
- Bonus skill set: LAMP administration, security knowledge and front-end & back-end website performance optimization

Other Details
- We do not care when you work or how you manage your time, just as long as you provide some availability during normal business hours (M-F 9am-5pm Pacific) and deliver work on time
- Generally everyone on our team works remotely, we have co-working space in San Diego if you're local and it's needed.
