We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Manager of Software for an exciting, growing company working on cutting-edge technology here in the Bay Area. This role will need an enthusiastic person with strong communication skills who is willing to take on the challenge of building out a new department. This position will be a unique opportunity to stamp your name on a group and establish, coordinate and direct all of the team's activities. Ideally we would like to see someone with management experience, as hiring and leading will quickly become a major function of the role. Additional responsibilities include;

-Strategic planning for Software group within QA Department

-Creating and reviewing Software Life Cycle Management Program SOPs, adhering to ISO and FDA regulations

-Designing validation strategies and methodologies for qualification and validation of software

-Supporting PLC/NPD quality and regulatory inputs for reviews

Requirements:

-4 year degree in related field (computer science, engineering, chemistry or life science)

-Knowledgable with a variety of software development methodologies

-Experience managing bug tracking and report software systems (Bugzilla, Jira)

-Computer System Validation experience

-Experience with Risk Assesment tools, Quality Statistics, Six Sigma and Lean techniques and methodologies

Preferred: Bioinformatics for DNA sequencing and genomics, cGMP knowledge, Med Device/Biotech experience, knowledge of Clinical and HIPPA regulations
