Leading edge, New York based Medical Software company has an immediate need for a Software Architect. The company provides an advanced Software as a Service application that is used by millions of patients in thousands of medical offices across the US. In this role as a Software Architect, you will be a leader on the Engineering team. You will work with Product Managers, Product Marketing, Developers and Testers to de?ne and scope products. You will be responsible for guiding scope discussions, software architecture, development and test de?nitions, deployment of your products into production and support and monitoring once in production. You will have a direct impact on the company's success through your stewardship of products.
Responsibilities
Work with Product Management and Product Marketing to de?ne a products vision and iteration plan.De?ne the architectural vision for the product and evolve the design as the product is built and is in use.Work with QA to de?ne the testing strategy and see it to completion.Own deployment to production and work with IT to properly monitor and support the product.Work with other Architects to de?ne product APIs.Train and mentor other team members.Learn the US Healthcare system and how customers use our products.
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or similar.10+ years of experience building and supporting highly-distributed applications, with significant experience with Microsoft.NET in C# or Java systems connecting to databases (SQL Server or Oracle).Self-motivated, independent thinker capable of working within a highly distributed team.
