Description
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area to optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met.
Develops and/or monitors performance of components of medical devices and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues from a Mechanical Engineering perspective.
Creates and/or updates Solidworks models for existing, new, or replacement components and assemblies.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. - Supports complex medical equipment utilizing both technical and equipment engineering skills. - Responsible for troubleshooting equipment at a component & system level.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of Mechanical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
BSME, MSME preferred but not required.
Specific skill sets/background experience:
Experience with design of complex mechanical assemblies, process improvement, design control, and pneumatic/fluidics products highly desired.
Technical project management skills. Excellent organizational, communication & documentation skills. Proficient with Excel, Word, & Solidworks.
Agile & SAP preferred but not required Medical Device experience required (software controlled, electromechanical systems, process/method/equipment/tooling validation).
