DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for developing and executing QA and Testing process, deliverables and activities for the organization Data Program across the enterprise comprising of both business and technical stakeholders The incumbent will manage and co-ordinate the test environment requirements, develop testing artifacts, development of test cases and execute the releases to the QA and Testing environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop Project Quality Goals
Assist in the development of project quality goals with project stakeholders
Participate in requirements reviews
Produce test reports and other management related test artifacts for assigned projects
2. Participate in Core Testing Activities
Analyze requirements for testability
Design and develop test cases and suites based on project requirements and testing standards
Create and maintain test data
Develop test scripts particularly in SQL and UFT(QTP)
Execute manual and automated test cases
Identify, analyze, and document all the system errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated (and implied) requirements and design specifications
Record and track defects throughout the defect life cycle
Collect, analyze, and communicate test results
3. Test Environment Coordination
Maintain the artifacts and the environment images for projects in collaboration with other IT departments
Deploy release and refresh data for the Certification Environment during testing phase
4. User assistance
Assist developers with test data and unit test case development
Assist in the planning and execution of UAT and quality assessments
5. Process improvements
Initiate, develop and implement industry best practices designed to increase product quality and team effectiveness
Collaborate with project stakeholders and IT groups to seek continuous improvements
Conduct research on tools/ideas for adoption
6. Other
Participate in other Investments QA & Testing activities, as assigned
Attend to details and manage repetitive works
Mentor Associate Investment Technical QA Analysts and Co-op Students
Escalate issues and concerns to management
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS:
A university degree
Minimum 5 years of working experience with software testing in Investment Business area preferably Capital Markets
Product knowledge of Capital Markets Instruments
Working knowledge of Securities Data Management
In-depth experience in SQL preferably Oracle PL/SQL and MSSQL SSIS; and MS Excel Marco and VBA script
Strong verbal and written communication/negotiation skills
Good logical, analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of industry standard SDLC and Testing Methodologies
Ability to review requirements for testability and clarity without ambiguity
Ability to design and develop test cases base on business and functional requirements to ensure adequate test coverage
Ability to create precise and concise testing artifacts that include test execution and defect status reports
Ability to work independently in a fast changing environment.

Knowledge/experience in metadata, ontology and semantic technology is a definite asset
Knowledge/experience in data warehouse and cube testing is a definite asset
Knowledge/experience in MDX Scripting
Knowledge/experience in HP ALM (QC Center) and UFT(QTP)
Knowledge/experience in financial investment systems (eg SimCorp) and market data system (eg Bloomberg )
Knowledgeable of applying current QA and Testing methodologies
Knowledge of Financial Modeling
