Proteus Europe, operating as an employment agency, is seeking a talented Software Design Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Reigate, Surrey.Our client a global leader, is looking for a Software Design Engineer to design, implement, document and test parts of the tools, drives and sample code to be used in combination with our clients positioning products, running on Windows, Linux or Android.Tasks:- Participate in the complete development process which includes design, implementation, verification and maintenance of host tools and drivers which are used in conjunction with our products
- Create technical documentation for developed functional block or features
- Implement new features according to a requirement specification
- Analyze feedback or nonconformities, provide workarounds or develop bug fixes
- Get responsibility for the functionality and quality of some of the software
Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience in the Android framework
- Experience in the development of PC applications and/or drivers (Windows / Linux)
- Experience in the integration, compilation and building of 3rd party software (Windows / Linux)
- Excellent knowledge in:
- Linux and Windows
- Android framework
- C and C++
- Makefiles
- MFC programming
- Microsoft Visual Studio or similar development environment
- Ability to work as a member of bigger projects
- Flexible team player with team responsibility
- Fluent in English, German language is beneficial
