Job Duties :

-Coordinates changes with developers, technical writers and end users

-Develops and performs test model validation

-Implements software testing methodologies

-Performs unit, integration and/or regression testing

Position Description:

*Duties will include testing (manual & automated), bug tracking, managing quality metrics, and creating documentation.

Position Responsibilities:

. Participate in the verification and validation of new and changed software releases against specified requirements

. Participate in all phases of software QA including:

*Reviewing requirements and design documentation

*Assisting in the development of hazard and risk analyses and associated testing

*Assisting in the creation and maintenance of software installation scripts

*Creating test schedules

*Authoring appropriate test protocols and reports

*Developing test cases

*Executing and evaluating test plans, Regression Testing, Load/stress Testing, Automated Testing, Manual Testing

*Documenting test results and quality metrics

*Creating automated test scripts

*Analyzing field issues and performing root cause analysis to improve coverage of existing test suites and to improve effectiveness of existing processes

. Create, validate, and maintain a software test environment.

. Maintain proficiency in the use of testing tools and methodologies.

. Effectively communicate and present findings, problems, and solutions within the team, organization, and outside the organization including recommendations for actions and prioritization.

. Participate in root cause analysis for defects and provides process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects.

. Lead efforts to develop and/or obtain the necessary tools to manage quality data and streamline quality systems. This includes identifying, developing, and verifying any custom tools to interface with the application.

. Maintain production software duplication robot.

. Participate in the Quality System Audit Program.

. Mentor less senior test engineers to provide effective support for growing their capabilities.

. Maintain excellent working relationships.

. Perform other duties as requested.

Basic Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIRED

. B.S./B.A in Engineering or similar related field.

EXPERIENCE

. 3 + years in Verification and Validation or design of Complex Software and Hardware Systems.

. Basic knowledge of UNIX operating systems, Shell Scripting, manual and automated testing.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

. 2+ years of experience supporting and/or training on client-MNav software applications highly desirable.

. 1+ years of experience in Medical Device V & V under the FDA QSR preferred.

. Understanding of software development processes is preferred.

. Knowledge of federal and international regulations, such as FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and Medical Device Directive is preferred.

. Experience implementing multi-level testing strategies (blackbox, graybox, whitebox).

. Experience designing and executing requirements-driven, functional test cases and test suites.

. Experience reviewing and accurately dispositioning software complaints.

. Ability to participate in and lead cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve problems.

. Ability to make recommendations to improve the software development process.

. Experience with medical device
