- Providing scientific statistical input to development plans and to project planning as well as providing representation on project teams.
- Providing statistical consultancy to other departments on request
- Making study design recommendations and preparing sample size calculations for Outline Protocols.
- Preparing the statistical section for Clinical Study Protocols
- Generating the randomisation schedules for clinical trials in accordance with the protocols, as well as, maintaining the security of schedules before and during the studies.
- Providing input to the design of Case Report Forms and reviewing Edit Check Specifications.
- Preparing Statistical Analysis Plans.
- Interacting with statistical programmers regarding programming requirements for analysis and reporting.
- Performing statistical analysis and producing derived datasets for statistical output.
The position is not limited to these functions.
Requirements:
- PhD in Statistics
- 3-5 years experience in Clinical Trials (Pharmaceutical or Diagnostics Industry)
- Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)
