For our customer in Zurich we are looking for a Unix System Administrator
Your responsibilities:
You will be a member of the Swiss regional UNIX team responsible for operations of our client's regional and global Unix environment.
As the ideal candidate you have the following qualifications and experience:
Act as Subject Matter Expert on RedHat Enterprise Linux 3/5/6. Lead/participate in infrastructure projects Third Level Support of Sun Solaris and Red Hat Linux distributed server environment liaising with regional and global counterparts Understand business priorities; adequately prioritize work accordingly to meet business objectives. Drive for improvements and implement them in regional or global scale. Communicate and collaborate with other internal partners for designing, planning and coordinating for implementation and ensure work is completed in a timely manner. You will be expected to drive the execution of innovative solutions. Write technical documentations for related infrastructure and installs which will include, but not limited to, the following technologies: Skills with some at least 2 of the following products are mandatory:
Veritas foundation suite Veritas Cluster Server Redhhat Cluster Server Suncluster
Ability to write scripts in administrative languages (for examples. Tk, Perl, ksh, sh, csh, SQL)Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing and storage environment concepts and technologies - LAN, WAN, routing protocols, NFS, DNS, NIS, LDAP, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, etc.If you are interested in this position please do not hesitate to send us your CV electronically
