Job Description
Working as part of a team of 7 in the Regulatory area, you will report to the Regulatory Reporting Vice President for Prudential Reporting. The Regulatory Analyst role will focus on the prudential reporting requirements of the client for the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). The successful candidate will be involved in the production of returns for submission to the CBI, while ensuring that the existing key processes and controls used in their production are adhered to and upgraded as appropriate. Due to the dynamic nature of the Regulatory environment, there will also be significant emphasis on the implementation of Basel 3 and User Acceptance Testing (U.A.T) of proposed system changes.

The Regulatory department operates very much on an integrated basis with the business and a key part of the broader Finance Department. This position provides the right candidate with exposure to all elements of the Bank's business in terms of its products, risks and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
o Preparation and review of the quarterly and semi-annual regulatory returns.
o Preparation and review of daily VaR back testing
o Analysis of new requirements for CRD IV/Basel 3 and the impact to prudential reporting
o Adhoc projects - expected to include a diverse range of projects including the implementation of CRD IV
o Developing a deep understanding of the regulatory rules contained in the Capital requirements Directive (CRD).
o Preparation of sections of the monthly Control Framework environment.
o Responsible for performing key processes and controls in production of reports.
o Working with colleagues across the Group, ensuring effective collaboration, communication and development of solutions.
o Contribute to a high performing team that is rising to the challenge of a changing regulatory environment.

Skills and Experience
o Qualified Accountant.
o Previous experience of producing Prudential returns.
o Previous experience of analysing the impact of CRD IV/Basel 3 requirements preferential
o Adaptability, focus, determination and flexibility are all key skill requirements.
o Good experience of complex systems, spreadsheets and databases.
o Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
o Ability to work on own initiative in high pressurised environment and to tight deadlines.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
