The Chief Architect - Information and Data is responsible for implementing an organisation wide Information Management Framework to gain and maintain understanding of what, how and when information is used and stored. This is to provide a single authoratative source of information, to better drive robust business decisions and achieve business objectives in an aligned, transparent and informed manner.

The role:

  • Development of a corporate Information Framework and common business language. Specify the information and data that will be collected, created, captured and exchanged. Establish and uphold standards and quality targets for business critical data and information.
  • Contribute to the client's ICT Strategic Plan and Architecture as it relates to knowledge and information management. Ensure the requirements of the business are captured and met through enabling technologies and supporting tools to provide high quality information and reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Establishment and management of a high performing information management branch to meet the needs of the client, focussed on continuous improvement and service delivery.
  • Ensure that information management is well understood across the business and staff are trained and informed. Also ensure understanding of business needs and drivers and that information management plans are integrated with strategic and business plans across the organisation.

Skills/experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in the field of Information Management - data governance, data quality, data integration, master data management, records management, content management and document management.
  • Experience communicating information related concepts to a range of technical and non-technical audiences and ability to engage, negotiate with and manage custodians of business information and senior managers to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing an information architecture into a complex organisation.
  • High level of leadership and management abilities - including a proven ability to successfully build the capability of others, manage budgets and resources and achieve deliverables on time, to scope and budget.
  • Demonstrated record of positively impacting organisational integration, cultural change and workforce engagement.
