Description
Messaging Engineer with good experience of MS Exchange administration, Lotus Notes and similar tools is needed for an initial 5 month contract in Valencia, Spain. Our client is an international IT organisation that offers remote technical expertise for other organisations. As a Messaging Engineer you will join a growing team of engineers and technicians and support existing messaging and infrastructure systems as well as playing a key part in the deployment of new solutions. This is an English speaking role but Spanish skills are a bonus.Messaging Engineer duties:
. Provide administration and maintenance of Domino and MS Exchange e-mail/database application
. Manage and maintain standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools
. Incident management, troubleshooting and providing messaging related solutions
. Have responsibility for design, final testing and deployment of email solutions and related systems
. Provide related technical documentation including on the release management process
. Analyse the technical needs of customer, end-users and all stakeholders and develop comprehensive plans that meets overall goals and objectives as a part of service level management process (ITIL)
. Perform other duties as required
Messaging Engineer skills required:
. Three or more years of experience in operating and maintaining messaging infrastructure
. Expert knowledge of Lotus Notes Domino and MS Exchange
. Good knowledge of SuSE Linux and Windows server operating systems
. General understanding of Network concepts (LAN, WAN) as well as directory service, application and webhosting
. LotusScript, PowerShell or similar Scripting tool knowledge
. Able to draft technical documents
. ISMS: ISO 27001, ITIL framework and other industry standard related best practices
. PRINCE 2 is desirable, but not essential
. Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
. Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required
. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
