Due to continued expansion of the business we now a require Senior Design Engineer to be based at the headquarters in theYorkshire.
We are looking for someone with:
- Some design experience: preferably in an automotive environment.
- Production methods: know about production processes (casting, steel pressing, forging and welding) and materials. Small viscous dampers are produced on automated lines in high volumes.
- Good organisational skills:
- Pro/E CAD software
In addition to the required attributes specified above, the ideal candidate will also have the following attributes:
- Higher degree in Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of vibration principles
- Good understanding of torsional vibration theory and analysis skills highly desirable.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of pressing, casting and forging processes.
- Knowledge product design for steel, cast iron and aluminium.
- Up to date knowledge of engine design and performance,
-Engines for passenger cars through trucks and gensets, to ship propulsion engines.
- Working knowledge of TS-16949, SPC, GD&T and automotive manufacturing requirements.
- A strong modeling and/or tool design background.
An articulate and effective communicator, the Senior Design Engineer should be confident, proactive individuals who can work in a customer facing and demanding environment.
