Description

The role of the financial analyst will involve preparing data for monthly and quarterly financial management reporting and analysis. You will be heavily involved in budget and forecast preparation and processes. As this role is working with a global team the individual will need to be flexible in the hours they can work and will be required to work US hours througout the year to meet demands. You will also have experience of designing and building reporting suites as well as engaging with senior stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis:

  • Perform discrete and diverse data analyses on a variety of subjects, specifically:
  • Translate high-level requirements into tangible outputs with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize data analysis toolsets (Excel, Qlikview etc) to analyze and interpret information, identify root causes of problems, and draw conclusions

Reporting:

  • Delivering repeatable metrics including technology subject matter experts, specifically:
  • Design monthly reporting pack, to help manage the organisation
  • Deliver key metrics against an aggressive schedule
  • Engage with existing resources to deliver components of the data and reporting function leveraging time difference between the regions
  • Deliver consolidated metrics which are repeatable, consistent and transparent
  • Maintain relevant supporting documentation

General:

  • Working with Business Management and Chief Operations Officer (COO):
  • Participate in working sessions using analytics of data.
  • Identify trends with a focus on identifying opportunities to improve data quality, transparency and reporting.
  • Work with other teams across the firm to regularly review data

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES and BACKGROUND REQUIRED

  • You may have a Bachelor's Degree qualified with experience working in a Technology environment
  • Strong data analysis skills with expert knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VBA, advanced formulae etc)
  • Ability to switch context quickly and work on multiple streams of work concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation, including senior management
  • Must be able to deal with a high pressured environment, managing competing demands and deadlines

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES and BACKGROUND DESIRED

  • You may have 4+ years of experience in financial industry
  • Experience of working in an Investment Banking environment
