Fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer in Belgium! Protues Europe, operating as an employment agency, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Leuven, Belgium. Our client, a leading corporation is looking for a Quality Engineer to become an integral member of its established team.As a Quality Engineer you main responsibilities are:- Customer quality assurance during the whole product lifecycle. From the release of new products, to the follow up of customer rejects (PPM), complaints and warranty issues until the end of the product lifecycle. In this role you're the mouthpiece for all PSS remote sites.
- You maintain daily contacts with your customers and make regular visits in order to guaranty a continue follow up of customer satisfaction. You take actions if necessary.
- You're first point of contact for all our car-assembly sites concerning quality. You take care of the necessary follow up (This is; reporting, handling quality problems and follow up of changes)
- Follow up of warranty returns in the field and starting up improvements
- Participate in 'on site' customer audits and visits.
- Ensure that the product and process quality of subcontractors and PSS remote sites meet the requirements, by coordinating improvement actions, sampling and quality (re)-control activities and by performing (incl. follow-up) regular internal audits
- Ensure that the PSS quality procedures are in line with the customer specific requirements and quality systems. When relevant adapt PSS procedures to new system requirements
- Initiate improvements and corrective actions with the key customer account teams, according 8D approach.
- As internal ISO/TS auditor, conduct internal audits according to the internal audit plan.
- Support the PSS related assembly centers (subcontractors) in the world in technical product quality aspects
PROFILE
- Master in engineering or Bachelor in Electronics or Electro mechanics
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience within automotive quality
- Analytical and accurate mindset, well organized, commercial feeling
- Team player in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Willing to travel internationally(30%)
- Fluent English. Good knowledge of French
- Knowledge of Quality tools (8D, PDCA, FMEA, Fishbone,..), statistical tools ( SPC, DOE,…) and Quality assurance systems (ISO TS16949) is an asset
- Knowledge, experience in acoustics and audio electronics
