My blue chip client are looking for a network engineer based in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland. Your role will involve interfacting with client, implementation and account team members to gather requirements as new projects are introduced and serves as the primary Engineering contact for client engagements. Has advanced technical knowledge and is capable of developing total technical network solutions. Will be a member in complex programs and projects. Prioritizes competing requests for technical assistance and determines project priorities, criticality and viability depending on multiple factors. Determines the course of engineering activities and will help mediate escalated and expedited projects. Determines feasibility and implements complex technical solutions, determines root cause of network related issues and executes on recovery plan. Responsible for decisions impacting internal organizations and the availability, reliability and resiliency of client networks. Receives limited direction from supervising manager; almost always functions independently; can always determine and develop appropriate strategies. Teams closely with management to help institute new programs into the Engineering organization. Advanced network, equipment, protocols, and topologies configuration knowledge. Strong client interfacing skills. Functions independently, planning own, and/or technical team members work. Accountable for developing, implementing, knowledge transfer and support of complex solutions. Mastery of physical and logical layer design/implementation. Bachelors degree or 6 Years relevant experience. Industry recognized certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE). Demonstrated Layer 2 & 3 competencies. Demand for scheduled evening and weekend work and travel to various client locations across the EMEA region possible. Candidates will be based on-site at the customer location in Dun Laoghaire Ireland Dublin Ireland.
