A top firm in downtown New York City is looking for a QA Analyst to join the team, starting with a 1+ year contract. This contract may also be extended or turn full time based upon performance and project work.

This position develops & implements procedures for maintaining and or enhancing the integrity of systems applications. Ensures the existence of development and service standards. Ensures that requirements are clearly defined and testable. Responsible for the creation and execution of detailed test plans and scripts to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements. Execution of scripts will include progress reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments. May be responsible for the maintenance, training, and information communications for tools used to support the product development process.

Experience Required:

* Lead and Hands-on experience on creation of performance test plans, performance test cases, development of performance testing scripts and performance test execution.
* Must have solid performance tool expertise with LINUX/Unix, Perl or Shell script and must have a substantial testing experience
* Perform data analysis when needed to analyze issues in Performance environments.
* Provide troubleshooting/ performance tuning for linux applications.
* Experience in developing and executing Test Procedures, Test Scripts, Test Plans, Test Strategies, Test Matrix and should have formidable experience in Functional Testing and Regression Testing.
* Experience with FIX Protocol and knowledge of Equity Trading applications is a plus
* Experience with scripting in SQL, database knowledge in Oracle and RDBMS Concepts.
