Description

A chance to make a real difference to a market leader in the aerospace sector has arisen. They are seeking a quality manager with experience of continuous improvement to join their organisation.

What this company does is truly unique to not only the UK, but the world. They design and manufacture high value radar systems and motion sensor systems which are supplied to airports, airlines, trains and cranes. No one else in the UK does what they do, from full product design, electronics design and testing. They also own the full IP address's to their designs.

They've been going strong since 1999, with 30 members of staff and a turnover of £5M. To put into context how rapidly they are growing, over the last five years, they've been increasing in revenue by 30% over the last five years alone! They are organically funded by their shareholders, and they are awaiting an individual to carve out a niche in their organisation with a view to growing their own team, as the business plans to expand for the future, and there is every indication they will make good on that promise.

You will be responsible for the entire quality function of the organisation, so this is a business critical position with many tasks to complete and master. You will be a key point of contact between a variety of teams, from the sales floor, the engineering team through to operations, ensuring all departments are practising good compliance, conducting regular internal audits to ensure this is done correctly, working with the engineering team with process control. It's more than an housekeeping role, you will be listened to in how to drive customer complaints down, improving supplier performance, recording and analysing statistical failures, constantly challenging the business on a daily basis on how it can operate more effectively.

Ideally you will have a relevant degree qualification within electronics/manufacturing or five years experience in this field, so you can grasp the nuances of the organisation, have a proactive approach to your work and a real problem solver, so knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, Root Cause will be excellent. As they work to ISO 9001:2008, lead auditor status is a must.

It's a relaxed atmosphere where you will be surrounded by a team that is highly motivated, the majority of the team are engineers so they are intelligent and passionate about their trade. Whilst you'll be working 40 hours a week, this is flexible so you can work it around your schedule.

A excellent salary of up to £45,000 is on offer, but more importantly, a chance to join a company that is passionate to grow exponentially.

Please call Reuben Jenkins on to find out more or apply online.

Interviews will be commencing from the 25th November, so call quickly!
