For our esteemed client with a global reputation for excellence in their field, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Systems Engineer with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux knowledge for a challenging 12 month contract in the heart of Basel, Switzerland.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of system design, installation, operation, monitoring and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with storage, ideally EMC VMAX and/or EMC VPLEX and/or NetApp storage administration.
- Experience in Perl and Shell Scripting.
- Excellent general infrastructure know-how, with experience in complex heterogeneous IT environments
- Experience with Change Management procedures.
- Willing to take over call-out responsibilities in the relevant areas.
- Fluency in English
- You are a self starter and have the ability to pick new concepts up quickly
