The company is a leading UK provider of quality meat-based products, delivering to customers nationally and exporting to Europe and beyond.The Technical Manager will be responsible for a small team and possess the desire and motivation to continually drive continuous improvement along with maintaining the highest standards. The post holder will have the ability to lead and develop a team through a proactive approach and excellent communication skills.
The role will include:
-Manage the company's daily QA and technical functions
-Challenge and maintain the appropriate technical policies and standards
-Develop, review and maintain the technical systems used to monitor and control product safety, legality and quality.
-Monitor performance and discipline practise's of QA operatives.
-Review and maintenance of the companies QA systems and procedures
-To act as a member of the HACCP team
The correct candidate will have:
-Technical manager experience
-Relevant experience in the food industry, preferably protein based
-Factory focused
-Good understanding of legislation, food hygiene, food labelling
-HACCP
-Experience with retailers
