Contract PCB Designer - Altium - DorsetMy client based in Dorset is currently looking for a PCB Design Engineer on a contract basis. The Designer will need to have a minimum of 6 months recent experience using Altium to Version 14. There are flexible options available with this contract, Ideally you will have your own up to date license of Altium and after an initial period on site will be able to work remotely, however if you do not have a license then it will be a requirement to work on site full time. The preference is to have a locally based Engineer as whilst the initial period of work is expected to last for up to 8 weeks, they are looking to build a long term relationship where the Engineer will carry out all designs in the future.
The Technical side of the role will involve the Design of 6-8 layer boards. It is likely that the Schematics will already be done as well as Component placement. The boards will be High Density approx 100mm x 70mm and incorporate High Speed Processors, experience with Datacomms, Mixed Signal, Motor drives, Motor controls, Brushless Motors will all be beneficial.
