COGNOS DEVELOPER-LONDON/£350-£400PDWe are looking for a Cognos Developer to deliver a new financial reporting system using the Cognos tool set for the finance team.
You will be responsible for developing the Cognos BI solution, designing and implementing intuitive analytical solutions, management dashboards/scorecards, reports and multi-dimensional analytics (cubes). You will have excellent Cognos 10 experience and will have a track-record of successfully delivering Cognos projects specifically within a Finance business environment.
The role will require you to provide technical and business best practice guidance for the usage of the Cognos 10 toolset and recommend solutions based on the requirements of business stakeholders. This will require solid experience of engaging with business stakeholders / sponsors to understand requirements build problem-solving partnerships with the Finance team and collaborate with the development team to deliver the BI design and implementation Required Experience
- Track-record of delivering BI Finance solutions and projects using the full Cognos toolset. Cognos 10 experience preferable.
- You will have developed Cognos BI solutions, designed and implemented intuitive analytical reports, management dashboards/scorecards and multi-dimensional analytics (cubes).
- Ability to work collaboratively within and across multi-discipline business and technology teams.
- Capable of defining Cognos design, security processes, standards, procedures, and best practices for Cognos usage.
- Knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures and have previously worked with large scale Data Warehouses.
- Solid understanding of Business Intelligence, data warehousing, information reporting, and data governance
- Strong skills in engaging with stakeholders to understand operational and analytical BI requirements and recommend appropriate Cognos solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Follow SDLC discipline and project management practices and processes while delivering BI projects.
- Willing to work cross site when required between the Finance team and Development Team.
- Experience in delivering quality work on time with multiple, competing priorities.
- Experience in meeting project milestones, managing stakeholder satisfaction, mentoring and training end users in Cognos.
