For our client located in Limburg, in the south of the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Global Infrastructure Architect

Start: ASAP

Duration: 1 year + extension

Work location: nearby Heerlen

Project language: English

The Global Infrastructure Architect will be working in the end user global management services (EGMS) department, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the EGMS roadmap and target IT service.
You will translate it in to clear requirements, products and service descriptions. You will build business cases, get approval from the business and enable projects, changes and operations to design solutions.

Job Content:
* Builds a vision on our clients infrastructure, Aurora and related components for the short, mid and long term cooperation with Domain Architects, service managers, other architects, senior engineers and Service Delivery Managers
* Translates the vision into roadmaps, architectural requirements, high level design policies and standards for EGMS. Propagates this vision in to business issues and questions.
* Maintains relevant strategic/tactical knowledge and keeps up with relevant technology developments
* Advices and supports design engineers in service creation
* Reviews and approves solution designs from projects and changes
* During projects, prepares the work packages for the design engineers
* Advices the Service Managers on all relevant infrastructural subjects, like strategy, structure, services, providers and organization
* Responsible for the consistency, inter-operability & manageability of EGMS services and related components
* Fulfills resource management duties with regard to the service architects

Complexity of the job:
* Design of infrastructure Service Architecture and services has to deal with many aspects: fit with customer demand, compliance with IT & Security policy, manageability of services to be developed, TCO of services, integration with other services.
* Creating maximum business value given the budgetary constrains
* The mandatory and unique agile services are provided all over the world and need to meet various requirements of the business in different regions.
* Follow new developments in the field of IT and adapt these to customer's needs

Education
Minimal level of Bachelors degree, Knowledge of TOGAF and ITIL.

Experience/Required skills
* In dept knowledge about Networking domain. (Connectivity, Active Directory and Hosting)
* Experience within global end user environment ( 20.000 user environment)
* Strong networking mind set, on top of current global developments, able to communicate with business and users
* Experience in managing small group of employees
