Senior Network DC Architect

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 2-3 months (possible extension)

Daily Rate: €450-€475 

The Senior Network Architect will provide knowledge and support an international transition of a CD a telecommunications and network level. The Senior Network Architect will provide assistance in the design and implementation of the infrastructure and will provide the security review and implementation for Internet facing web projects. The design of the web infrastructure, WAN and Internet connectivity with an uptime target of 99.9% needs to be taken care of. Security risk needs to be identified by the Senior Network Architect considering Internet facing systems and applications and risks need to be mitigated. The Senior Network Architect will provide written documentation on periodic intervals and will take care of the advanced knowledge of existing hardware and software that will lead to optimal performance of the business. You will work hands on with Cisco ASA or PaoloAlto.The Senior Network Architect will have an extended background in advanced network troubleshooting and problem determination of switching and routing technologies. Cisco experience is required and hands on experience with Cisco ASA or PaoloAlto is mandatory. The Senior Network Architect will be familiar in working with network analyzers - OSI model and decode packets. Knowledge of network management, security/Firewall, virtual networks and packet shapers is a must. Experience with Ethernet will help you do your daily tasks. The Senior Network Architect will have implemented wireless networks and Cisco protocols in the past, WAN and MPLS technologies and working knowledge of MDF and IDF design are desired as well. The Senior Network Architect will be familiar with VPN solutions and can give support considering Routers, Firewalls and networks. Hands on experience with DNS/DHCP and polycom HDX is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory:

  • Cisco Experience
  • Network Analyzer experience (OSI model and decode packets)
  • Network management (security/Firewall, virtual networks, packet shapers)
  • Ethernet experience
  • Implementation of wireless networks

Preferable:

  • WAN/MPLS knowledge of MDF and IDF deign
  • VPN solutions
