MSDS, an integrated branding & interactive agency specializing in nonprofits, academia, and tech innovation businesses is looking for an experienced freelance Front-End Developer. We prefer on-site, but are willing to do offsite with the right people.

Core Responsibilities

Turn Photoshop comps into exceptional front-end templates with HTML, XHTML, CSS/Sass/Less, JavaScript/jQuery, Ajax

Enrich the user experience through innovative interface and interaction design

Extend pages template design across site experience based on established templates

Produce clean code that works on a responsive framework (Foundation)

Produce exceptional work, on-time and on budget
-
Polish design to perfection by leading front-end QA with Designers

Actively coordinate and communicate with project managers and design/dev team
Requirements

Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and AJAX

Strong knowledge of standard web development tools

Ability to code for multiple browsers, platforms and devices

Mobile/responsive coding, preferably with Foundation
-
Experience with git and version control
-
Ability to effectively manage your time and hit deadlines

Have fun, work hard, kick ass, take names
Big Plusses

Drupal themeing experience

Experience with, or interest in interactive data visualization tools like Highcharts, Google Charts, and dynamic mapping tools

Experience developing complex, content-heavy websites
