Description
We are seeking a Sales & Use Tax Analyst for a 12 months contract position in Stevenson, AL
Skills:
- BA/BS Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3 years experience in Public or Manufacturing Accounting
- Sales Tax Experience a plus
- Experience with JDE, Hyperion or PassPort a plus. Procurement or accounting experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft office background
- Must have good communication skills in order to communicate with mill personnel and contractors
- Open minded self starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
- Organizational skills to manage and track transactional details
- Team player and with strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Sales and Use Tax Analyst/General Accountant
- Liaison between Mill and Corporate Sales Tax Department.
- Responsible for completing all use tax calculations required for filing tax forms in their jurisdictions using the following tools. Use tax Matrix, Issue report, Contract report, Access database
- Responsible for depositing all supporting documents in sharepoint folder.
- Account analysis, monthly closing duties, journal entries, general accounting duties as assigned.
- Contract specialist; Responsible for reviewing the complete contract process. Assuring requisitioners are breaking down labor & materials on contracts when required. Assuring contractors are breaking down labor & materials on invoices when required.
