Description
My Brussels based client has a long term requirement for a DB2 Application Performance Specialist for an initial 12 month contract. Applicants should have considerable experience in a Cobol/DB2 support role as well as experience as a Cobol technical analyst/developer on business applications. In addition advanced knowledge and experience in a Mainframe (DB2/Cobol) environment including application debugging and troubleshooting.
Knowledge and experience in DB2 performance tuning including DB2 explain plus experience in z/OS tools and utilities (eg JCL iebgener, iebcopy, etc.) are also required. Any knowledge of IMS (Transaction processing), BMC APPTUNE, BMC Mainview and Compuware STROBE or comparable tools would be advantageous as would experience with MS Office application (MS Access).
Candidates need to be fluent in English and also fluent in either Dutch or French.
