Core responsibilities for the role include:
* Implementing distributed infrastructure
* Working to best practices
* Staying up to date with the latest developments
* Implementing, managing and monitoring HA availability across different services
* Help develop the Linux skillset of the technical operations team
* Deployment automation
Essential Skills:
* An extensive background in infrastructure management within a Linux environment
* 10 years+ experience in Linux Administration
* Strong exposure to Virtualisation, Xen/VMware
* Hands on track record and desire to remain hands on.
* Amazon cloud services experience. As a minimum experience with S3, EC2.
* Deployment automation
* Server configuration management
* Solr deployment and optimisation
* Memcache
* Apache web server
* Apache traffic server
* HA mysql (Master to Master replication, clustering)
* ActiveMQ
* Awstats
