Description
We are currently seeking a software engineer for a mobile web browser development project in Finland.Key Duties:
- Analyze and optimize the performance of web based frameworks / solutions, such as resource loading, rendering, JS execution, etc.
- Enhance developed web runtimes to be a competitive Web App execution environment.
- Implement new standard features (HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
- Have technical responsibility with the Web Solutions related project(s), working with other members of the project team to ensure the timely delivery of integrated solution.
- Keep abreast of market and customer requirements within the mobile communications field.
- Provide advice and feedback to senior management with respect to Technical and Project management activities.
Knowledge/ Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience working in complex web based projects, with web development experience in Mobile web browser. i.e. Chrome, Firefox, or similar.
- Experience in Software Development environment in particular (C/C++) for embedded real-time systems.
- Experience of development with Android and/or Linux based embedded platforms
- Knowledge and development experience on Mobile Web browsers (e.g. Webkit based (e.g. Safari), IE (6,7,8), Firefox (3.0+), Chrome (4+)
- A degree in Telecommunication, Software, Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline (an equivalent period of industrial experience may be substituted).
- A good level of inter-personal and communication skills and good command of English both written and verbal.
- Experience in development of/with various web technologies (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript)
- Understanding of open source software licenses, technology, and business models
- Knowledge on Mobile Web browsers (e.g. Webkit based (e.g. Safari), IE (6,7,8), Firefox (3.0+), Chrome (4+)).
- Knowledge on Mark-up languages (such as HTML, XHTML and XML), Style sheet languages (such as CSS and XSL), Client-side scripting (such as JavaScript), Server-side scripting (such as PHP and ASP) .
