My client a leading provider of Credit Cards and short term loans are looking to add additional resource to their Card Risk team after seeing year upon year growth. My client are looking for an Experienced Card Risk Analyst monitoring credit policies.The primary responsibilities are to:
- Drive portfolio profitability across products; balance risk and reward to support the business's growth agenda whilst maintaining control of credit quality and performance.
- Optimise new and existing customer credit decisions for value, setting credit policy and developing strategies to this effect.
- Provide insight to and set expectation for portfolio and segment trends through targeted analysis, forecasting and the development of regular MI.
- Support the development of analysts within the wider Credit team.
- Take the lead on projects for Credit Cards; working autonomously to engage key stakeholders, ensure all decisions satisfy risk appetite and manage controlled delivery.
- Required:
- At least 3 years relevant analytic experience in personal / retail financial services
- At least 3 years on new account acquisition and / or customer line management
- Programming, database extraction and reporting experience
- Expertise in profitability modelling and financial analysis
- Working with / presenting to senior managers
Preferable
- Experience in sub-prime credit card lending
- Exposure to Decisioning Systems (Transact, TRIAD)
- Working knowledge of UK bureau data
