C# Developer (financial/trading applications) required for 12 month contract with a prestigious Investment Management organisation in Amsterdam.

My client, based in Amsterdam have an urgent requirement for a C# Developer for a 12 month contract.
It is essential that you have a minimum of 3 years C# development experience in a major financial institution (preferably "buy side").

You will have an expert level understanding of C#.NET (version 4.0/Visual Studio 2010 or higher).
You will have a thorough understanding of Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, packages, etc.
You must have a demonstrable track record of developing enterprise software solutions in an Investment Bank or major Asset Management/Investment Management organisation, including Winforms UI development.
Previous experience of trading applications and banking software is essential.
You will have experience using best practices in OOA/OOD (eg design patterns, IoC, n-tier architectures such as MVP or MVVM), also SCRUM.
You must be capable of supporting applications in production - ie fault tracing & investigation, suggest workarounds and propose solutions.
You will have TDD experience, and an interest in automated testing.

Essential skills:
Able to understand/trace complex designs through documentation and/or code with minimal input.
Capable of accepting the constraints imposed by existing solutions; proposing solutions that balance design criteria with practical end-user benefits.
Able to suggest solutions to problems; spot and flag potential problems.
Able to meet (and potentially negotiate with) stakeholders (end users) regarding solutions and timescales.
