Network Engineer with banking experience required to join a investment bank based in the City of London.
Key Responsibility of a Senior Network Engineer:
- Lifecycle management and upgrades to the core network infrastructure
- Network infrastructure configuration and deployment using Cisco Routers and switches IOS NXOS, CatOs, Cisco ASA, Juniper Netscreen and Juniper.
- Take key decisions in respect of the impact of the fault/change on users and the existing infrastructure
- Global 2nd/3rd line support with on-call support
- New solutions research and development
- Managing major exchanges
- Project management of all deliverables
- Maintain device software versions and configurations according to standards and policies
Essential Experience of a Senior Network Engineer:
- CCNP or equivalent experience
- Advanced routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGPR, etc)
- Experience of having worked in a global networks organisation and remote management
- Firm understanding of:
- Cisco 6500 & Nexus
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- LDAP
- Windows, Linux, Unix
- Shell Scripting
- Network Architecture
- Experience working on a multiplatform global networks
- Basic understanding of Banking & Finance the applications used within the industry
- Experience in firewalls:
- Fortigate
- Checkpoint
- Juniper
- Experience in Banking & Finance or a similar high pressure environment
- Working within a ITIL environment
- Experience of enterprise wireless technologies
Salary - 50 - 70k (depending on experience) + Benefits
