Our client is a multi-award winning technology company based in Belgium. They have won numerous awards over the past decade and have been involved on a number of very high profile projects across different industrys. They're constantly striving to grow their product offering and make sure all their products are as innovative as possible. As they look to build a new cloud product they are looking to find an experienced messaging developer.
THE ROLE
This position will be to come on board as a Messaging Developer to play an integral role in the ever growing Development team based Belgium. The team is heavily Agile and they work together as a unit to constantly keep at the forefront of technological innovation. You will have the opportunity to work on large scale projects used by millions. You will be expected to not just pick up the technologies that they're currently using, but bring in your own ideas and thoughts about how they could be building their software better, using different technologies and so on.
THE INDIVIDUAL
- Solid programming skills in Java.
- Knowledge of C, C++, Python or Scala.
- Experience with messaging and queuing technologies like ActiveMQ, Kafka, AMQP, DDS, ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ, JMS etc.
- Cloud technologies like Zookeeper or Chef or Netflix or Mesos or Decker.
- Cloud infrastructure with the likes of Amazon Web Services or SoftLayer or Rackspace etc.
- Database experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and MongoDB.
- Experience working with performance, memory tuning and optimising Linux.
- Experience working within an agile environment.
- Comfortable working within a fast moving environment where you'll be expected to adapt to change quickly.
