Description
A major bakery manufacturer is currently seeking an interim Specifications writer to join their technical team on an interim basis to cover a recruitment process. You will be key member of the Technical team and required to cover all specifications work.Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating the generation and control of specifications and technical documentation, both internally and externally.
- Through regular communication with our suppliers you will ensure that all information gathered is transferred onto our site technical documents, including nutritional labelling information.
- You will ensure that site specific information is correct on customer specifications and that this is fed back to the relevant Managers.
- Update/maintain hard copy & computer based files & main product files.
- Ensuring specification deadlines are met.
- Proof read the associated packaging artworks & reprographic briefs to ensure packaging information is correct.
- Ensure all products undergo the correct technical trials and tests & to track products going through technical trials.
- Request ingredient & packaging specifications & ensure they are available when required.
- To update relevant spread sheets.
- Highlight any areas where the testing frequency/specification is not being met.
- To set up new sheets for new products.
- Generate sample labels and appropriate paperwork as required for product trials.
- You will be a specifications writer used to writing major retailer specs with previous experience within a food manufacturing industry and posses a strong understanding of technical paperwork
The correct candidate must be familiar with M&S code of practice and legislation.
