Description
Overview:The primary job responsibility is to provide a diverse and wide variety of Controls/Automation Engineering functions for the Integrated Services organization focused on coordinated responses to 3rd Party Engineering teams. This employee must utilize sound judgment in the development and management of engineered documents for a variety of applications. The employee must be able to multi-task within multiple project requirements at once. The Employee must be able to work fluctuating work schedules and extended work hours when required by workload, including weekends. Some short term travel, both domestic and international, should be expected.
Skills/Tools:
- Demonstrated competence developing and administering Allen Bradley PLC based control systems, particularly using Control, Compact and Flex Logix hardware. Allen Bradley Programming (RS Logix5000) and HMI-(RSView) experience required. AutoCAD and/or CADWorx experience is a Plus.
- Demonstrated experience in development and commissioning control systems in alternate platforms such as Emerson Delta V, Siemens S7 or PCS, Wonderware, or GE iFix.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of SIS architechures and ISA84/ IEC61508 complinace topics and processes. Desired to have training/ experiience in SIS system dvelopment.
- Organized and confident, Good skills in task organization and communications. Able to coordinate communications from multiple sources.
- Ability to work effectively with and share best practices with other Project Team members.
Education/Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- 1-5 years experience in Industrial Automation, preferably with Distributed I/O topologies in the oil and gas industry.
- Must be, and remain, knowledgeable incurrent industry practices and technologies. Understand the basics of oil and gas processes and fundamentals behind system/plant design, engineering, construction, commissioning and operations
