Project environment
IT infrastructure of a Swiss insurance company
Tasks
• Technically responsible to the Oracle Professional Consultant Coordinator, Organizational
responsible to Head Oracle
• Analyses and fulfills advanced requests for consultancy relating to Oracle Database
and related product set from customers or ITI Professional Services, if necessary also
coordinating with other infrastructure teams and vendors
• Provide advice, guidance and training to customers as well as engineering and
operational colleagues regarding technical topics
• Coordinates with vendors regarding cases opened on behalf of customers or the Oracle
team
• Attend the regular Oracle Team and Professional Consultant meeting and Application
project meetings, if requested
• Ensure compliance with national and international rules and regulations
• Organizing and providing training to developers or other IT teams
• Release Support for Oracle
• General support to developers
Professional Technical Skills
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Database Products and Database related
Application issues.
• Deep professional know-how and experience in Oracle technologies.
• Professional Oracle Performance Tuning Skills.
• Assess Data Model Reviews.
• Basic knowledge of business IT.
• Understanding of ITIL Service Management.
Professional Soft Skills
• Very high people and social skills – towards colleagues and stakeholders
(Communication, listening, mentoring, negotiation, presentation etc.).
• Experienced in international environments.
• Project leading skills, "driver" and self-motivated mentality.
• Not only open minded towards technology changes – also drive it actively forward.
