They are an awesome company in the online education space.They are seeking a part-time Graphic Designer with some UX experience to pick up extra work. Ideally this person would pick this work up on the side of another full-time position, but be able to work on projects with short-notice, and be able to have a rapid-turnaround. Afterhours or weekend work is fine. Although working offsite will probably be the norm, there's also the expectation that on occasion at least you could come to the office, in the flatiron district and participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions and go over upcoming projects. free meals cooked by the on-site chef on those days, of course.

You'll work with the Director of UX who has a direct line to stakeholders and the president, so good communication skills are desired but this will not be a client-facing position most likely.
Projects will include online ads, landing pages, mobile designs, mock ups, prototypes, wireframes and finished designs. The ideal candidate will understand fundamental principles of Graphic design, User Experience design, Mobile/Responsive design, and can rapdily generate cutting edge, exciting design.

Required skills:
-Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign/Fireworks
-A great eye for aesthetics and cutting edge design
-Understanding of fundamentals of UX
-Understanding of Mobile/Responsive design principles
