Description
My client, based in Arlington Virginia, are look for a Senior Credit Analyst for an initial 3 month contract paying up to $40 per hour based on experience.The Counterparty Credit Team, which is part of the Risk Management department, primarily reviews new and approved counterparties for Securities Lending, Corporate and Bank Treasury and Investment Securities. The Team also supports Procurement by conducting financial reviews of all critical vendors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for:
* Conducting periodic reviews of all assigned counterparties
* Monitoring newswires daily for stories regarding assigned counterparties
* Set limits and monitor exposures for all assigned counterparties
* Preparing reports for monthly Credit Committee meetings
* Conduct annual financial reviews of assigned critical vendors
* Ad hoc projects
Requirements
* 2-4 year's relevant experience
* Familiarity with financial products such as derivatives, repos, forwards, securities lending and other fixed income instruments
* Financial statement analysis
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Word
* The ability to work independently and complete work in a timely manner
