Description
Senior Web Developer needed to join a fast growing and award winning start up in Dublin. The successful candidate needs to be passionate about coding and must be highly confident, have excellent communication skills and have an excellent eye for detail.Responsibilities:
Work with User Experience teams to define, maintain, implement, and enforce style guides, standards, reusable mark-up, and best practices for client-side coding
Write and integrate with client-side application code (e.g. JavaScript) as needed
Optimize performance of client-side code taking into account issues of page weight, complexity, SEO, network, user perception, and other effects
Produce and optimize image assets for high performance (including crunching and use of image sprites)
Monitor best practices, trends and new technologies and evaluate for possible adoption
Assist web development teams with client-side coding and bug fixing as needed
Required Skills:
5 years recent UI web development experience
HTML experience including thorough knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
CSS experience, with working knowledge of progressive enrichment through CSS3
JavaScript including knowledge of jQuery and the ability to rapidly prototype interactions and user experiences
Experience with integrating the front-end with server side technologies such as C# and PHP
Familiar with Photoshop or similar tools for working with visual designs
