Description
An expert level Database Administrator is required to join a thriving team, for my household name client in Leicester. You will be tasked with taking the lead on several SQL Environment projects in and will also be required to assist in the progression of more junior DBA's within the team.Technical Requirements:
Expert support knowledge of SQL Server 2000, 2008, and 2012 standalone and High Availability systems such as standard SQL Server clustering and Availability Groups
* Advanced level SQL skills including triggers, stored procedure, views, etc.
* Excellent T-SQL skills
* Strong knowledge of Database Backups, Change Data Capture, and Extended Events
* Strong experience in Windows 2008 and/or 2012 environments
* Understand the requirements for differing types of applications (e.g. OLTP vs. Reporting)
* Knowledge of database disk utilisation and performance tuning concepts and tools.
* Experience with the MS BI Stack (SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services)
* Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced, fast growing environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
