IT Operations Analyst - 6-12 months, Southampton

IT Operations Analyst required for a 6-12 month contract based in Southampton.

Type: 6-12 Month Contract

Rate: £300-£400 per day

Location: Southampton

Start Date: February 2014

Computer Futures are looking for an IT operations officer who will work in a team to install, maintain, upgrade and support the entire IT hardware, software and communications infrastructure. You will also manage change control and project schedules as assigned. You will need to effectively communicate with users, IT personnel, consultants and project managers as appropriate in order to resolve calls logged, change requests and project tasks.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential:
- Windows Server

- VMWare ESXi

- Active Directory

- Citrix

- Windows 7 and desktop deployments

- SQL 2005

- Exchange

Desirable:

- Network Experience - LAN, WAN, switches, routers, firewalls.
- Qualified to Degree level or above

- Appropriate Microsoft Professional Engineer level Qualifications

- Exposure to system monitoring software such as Dell 'OpenManage'.

Key Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively and provide technical information to a wide variety of users such as IT staff and managers. The ability to work as part of a team to implement solutions and resolve incidents, the ability to prioritise work, meet targets, follow procedures and work with minimal supervision. Be Able to learn, adapt and implement new technologies to improve service delivery.
